Educational Outreach

Fifth Stream Music offers community outreach and education programs in conjunction with Asian American Orchestra performances and by Artistic Director Anthony Brown, either independently or in partnership with AAO musicians.

Performance-related programs include open rehearsals; pre- and post-performance presentations; jazz performance workshops; master classes with jazz instruments and traditional Asian instruments; and informal Q&A sessions with students and general audiences.

Dr. Brown lectures extensively in an interactive workshop format about jazz music, history and culture for both academic and general audiences.
