Join thousands of Bay area celebrants honoring Dr. King on Monday, January 20 for a full day of free and exciting events, festivals and programs in San Francisco's Yerba Buena District. The 2014 celebration will host events for every age, background, and walk of life, including the following outdoor events at Yerba Buena Gardens Festival:
MLK2014 March & Parade: Experience the 1.5 mile historic march from 4th & Townsend Streets to Yerba Buena Gardens in commemoration of the Civil Rights era marches.
MLK2014 Music Festival: Soul/Jazz/Hip Hop ensemble Marcus Cohen & The Congress and the Grammy nominated Dr. Anthony Brown's Asian American Jazz Orchestra (AAJO) and his Voices of a Dream Vocal (VOAD) Ensemble highlight this year's music festival on the Esplanade at Yerba Buena Gardens. Music festival starts at 1:45pm. AAJO and VOAD on at 3:00pm.
Interfaith Commemorations (A San Francisco Interfaith Council program): Celebrants are able to participate in an interfaith commemoration at the Esplanade Stage at Yerba Buena Gardens.
