The Asian American Orchestra premieres Go For Broke!

On Friday, November 3rd at 7PM, the Presidio Trust and InterMusic SF partnered with Dr. Brown and the Asian American Orchestra(AAO) to present a Presidio Sessions musical concert premiering GO FOR BROKE! A Salute to Nisei Veterans at the Presidio Officers’ Club. What makes this piece significant is that it honors the veterans who fought for their country while their families were interned at serval camps around the country. The five movement piece, composed by Anthony Brown, was highlighted by the spoken word of Janice Mirikitani - a camp internee herself. The orchestra was grateful to perform in front of a packed house of friends, supporters and music lovers.
